4th Annual Fireworks at the Field Set for June 28 at Hammons Field
After drawing 15,000 people last year, “Fireworks at the Field” returns to downtown Springfield on Saturday, June 28, with a dramatically larger fireworks display for southwest Missouri’s biggest Independence Day celebration.
Tickets starting at $7 are available immediately at the Hammons Field box office, by calling 417-863-2143, or at www.springfieldcardinals.com
Patrons with a June 28 Springfield Cardinals ticket will be able to ice skate and play on inflatables from Amberg Entertainment in the Mediacom Ice Park, create art and crafts at The Creamery Arts Center, and enjoy the hands-on activities at the Discovery Center beginning at 3:00 pm. The Springfield Cardinals will host the San Antonio Missions at 5:10 pm at Hammons Field and then Mark Bilyeu and Cindy Woolf will headline the pre-fireworks concert after the game. The region’s largest fireworks show will begin at Hammons Field at 9:45 pm. AM Pyro has worked with organizers and sponsors to double the amount of firepower in this year’s display. Fans will once again be allowed on the outfield grass after the sun sets.
City Utilities will offer free shuttles linking all the participating venues and the wide variety of paid and free parking options will be available in the Jordan Valley Park area.
