Taste of SoMo returns to Park Central Square on June 25

Springfield’s most delicious event, Taste of SoMo returns to Park Central Square on June 25. The annual celebration of southwest Missouri’s best food and drink is presented by SGC Food Service and managed by the Downtown Springfield Association.

Taste of SoMo is an outdoor food sampling event that showcases the diversity and quality of the restaurants in Southwest Missouri. The delicious food will be complemented by tastes of the region’s live music, visual arts, beer and more. This event is fun for the whole family, featuring a patio and yard game area, and a kids area.

Food sampling takes place from noon-4 p.m. with live music and beer sales continuing inside Park Central Square until 5 p.m. For $10, patrons will receive a sheet of 10 Taste Tickets that can be exchanged for delicious treats at each of the vendors. Patrons will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite restaurants throughout the day — featuring categories like Best of Festival, Best Entrée, Best Dessert and more.

Taste of SoMo is proud to partner with Ozarks Food Harvest to provide meals for those in need. Ozarks Food Harvest serves 270 hunger-relief organizations across 28 counties in Southwest Missouri, reaching nearly 30,000 individuals weekly. Not only will OFH receive a portion of the profits from the event, but patrons will have the opportunity to donate with the purchase of each Taste Ticket. Ozarks Food Harvest can provide four meals from each dollar donated.
